This HDB resale flat was designed for a couple with strong personal style — he’s a graphic designer and she’s a former stewardess. Their focus was on creating a spacious, personality-filled home to enjoy and host friends. The design direction was industrial with a luxe twist, balancing raw materials with sleek finishes. A standout challenge was integrating their Bear Brick collection as a visual focal point, while working with both glass and stainless steel contractors — a complex coordination effort with added cost. Zinc metal-clad feature walls and cement screed floors gave the home its raw edge, while a bold blue was introduced to warm up the palette and reflect the owner’s identity. The open-plan living and dining area created flexibility for gatherings, bringing life and flow to the space. The result is a bold, curated home that speaks volumes about its owners : edgy, confident, and unapologetically them.
