This returning client who is a Eurasian-Indian family of four approached us to revamp their outdated kitchen, which had poor airflow and no longer suited their growing lifestyle. The design direction leaned towards modern eclectic, reflecting the couple’s rich cultural background and vibrant energy. What began as a cramped, enclosed kitchen was fully transformed: we restructured the roof, separated the space into dry and wet zones, installed a new air-conditioning system, and even introduced solar panels. An island and a full-sized dining table were added, creating a kitchen that’s now the heart of their home which is perfect for cooking, gathering, and hosting. The biggest challenges came from low electrical capacity, tight space planning, and working within regulatory constraints, but the outcome was deeply rewarding. Today, the family proudly welcomes guests into a kitchen that feels functional, spacious, and full of soul – a true reflection of their way of life.
