This landed home began with a twist as we were brought in as a consultant on the original design. Construction had already started, but after understanding the couple’s preferences more deeply, I realised the previously proposed modern oriental theme which the couple thought they wanted. didn’t truly resonate with them. What they really wanted was a home that felt warm, welcoming, and timeless. I proposed a modern contemporary design rooted in three key principles: unity, cohesiveness, and simplicity. Rich wood grains, marble textures, and soft lighting brought a sense of calm luxury to the space. Every wall was wrapped for seamless flow, and lighting was thoughtfully designed. including a custom island light feature that became a centrepiece. This project was a reminder that good design starts with truly listening, and translating unspoken needs into something the clients didn’t even know they were looking for. but instantly felt at home in.
