The main objective of this project was to re-configure the entire unit therefore we hacked almost every wall and re-configured the space to fit client’s lifestyle. The original kitchen was opened up to cater a pantry, together with an island counter that houses the induction hob, and also a sink area for dishwashing and laundry purposes, After breaking down the original bedrooms walls, the homeowners wanted to conceal the private quarters from the communal area, resulting in a concealed door that also helped to contain the air-conditioning within the living / dining space. One of the bedrooms were carved out to create the study space, separated with glass panels to allow natural light in and out of the room, and the homeowners were also open to our idea of using curtain to segregate the rest area from the walk-in-wardrobe instead of a conventional door.
