One of the main challenges of this project was to enlarge the kitchen space and craft out a bedroom for the homeowners’ helper within the kitchen. The other objective was to knock down a bedroom to create a larger living and dining space. The use of fluted panels, limewash paints, and wood textures help to transform this new contemporary condo into a modern japanese home to a family of four including the helper. Another request from the client was that they were really sensitive to noises and so we changed out the new bedroom doors provided by the developer into soundproof doors.
