Taman Siglap

A bold reinterpretation of a heritage home, Taman Siglap is a study in contrasts, where vintage charm meets contemporary geometry. Through careful additions and alterations, this semi-detached residence is reimagined with spatial rhythm, visual layering, and a renewed sense of modern elegance. Working within the constraints of an A&A, the design had to respect certain structural boundaries while allowing for a total reprogramming of function. The challenge was striking the right balance between preservation and reinvention — creating moments where old and new could coexist in harmony. From circulation flow to façade treatment, the house now offers a tactile, calm, and contemporary living experience rooted in its original spirit.
