The dining room was created as a part of a contour space – to conceal a bomb shelter store room. A seamless design was used with curve-shaped panelling and concrete-like texture.
The living room was opted with a projector instead of a TV
The texture wall display shelves was customized to create a nature-like cavity wall to display the homeowners memorabilia and creations, which act as a conversation starter.
The shelves separating the living and tatami area was arranged to create a bigger and serene space for socializing and hosting.
The wall adjacent to the kitchen area was taken down and opened up to bring in more light to the middle space of the home. The shapes are a continuation of the display shelves in the living area.
To create a backdrop to a rather plain minimalist wall, shelves that were laser cut in design contour were done to give a backdrop texture to the clean minimalist space.
The open shelves on the top cabinets provide more space for the homeowners to display their array of nature ornaments.
The backsplash chosen was purposefully made uneven to give the kitchen a more natural look.
The island counter ties back to the contour, layering as a foot rest. It also extends all the way to the wall on the side of the kitchen.
The green chocolate bar-like tiles were lined the top part of the vanity area to match those in the kitchen. The contrasting colour tone was purposefully made to give a sense of depth and contrast for a supposed serene space vibe.
The top hung basin cabinet was designed curved as well to tie in with the contour cave shape found throughout the house.
The door connected to the study room was made to mirror the one of the master bathroom.
