NPR Penthouse

Designer: Monica

Property Type: Condo

Style: Minimalist

This 3-bedroom penthouse apartment had a double volume height at the living area which allowed a build-in mezzanine level for a private work area

Steps were cantilevered to allow natural light to stream into the kitchen, with tinted mirrors clad onto the facade of the mezzanine volume to make it disappear. The extended steps were utilized as storage in the compact living, and the balcony was converted to an outdoor dining area to maximize the potential of the apartment.

In the master bedroom, a movable headboard panel was installed as a solution to cover the full height corner glazing during sleepy Sunday sleep-ins, and a full-length cantilevered dressing table along the window stretch allowed natural light to stream in. Thoughtful solutions to create a clutter-free compact home.
