440C Bukit Batok West

Designer: Cris

Property Type: HDB

Renovation Cost: $48,000

Style: Minimalist

This 5-room unit was designed with a minimalist theme in mind to keep things open and airy.

An overall monochrome clean look helps to elevate the spaciousness in the house. The combination of walls, ceiling and floor striked the perfect balance without being too boring.

The customised mantle piece beneath the TV provides a place for the homeowners to display their decorative items.

White ledges wrapped around the walls work as a display bookshelf to save space.

The artistically painted black marbled effect wall was featured near the dining area as a beautiful centrepiece of the room.

In the kitchen, the steel and laminate finishings create a textured contrast between the two cabinets.

To create a dissimilarity between the white walls and the rest of the room, herringbone vinyl flooring was chosen as it creates a distinctive V shaped weaving pattern.

Horizontally placed white subway tiles were added in the bathroom to elongate the space. Black fittings and decor were matched with the tiles to enhance the contrast between the colours.
