What will be discussed during the first consultation?

I will like to get to know the homeowners’ requirements and lifestyles, and any suggested ideas, themes or mood boards will be appreciated as well to understand what they are looking for. I will also bring along some material samples for references.

How long would it take to receive the quotation or design proposal?

Within 2 weeks after the first consultation

Is there a design fee apart from the construction quotation?

A fee of $5,000 is chargeable (included in construction quotation), consisting of:

5 to 6 perspectives of 3D drawings with a maximum of 3 revisions, and 2D detailed drawings up to 10 pieces.

Will the homeowners be liaising with you throughout the entire process of the project?

Yes, I will be liaising with the homeowner for all design consultations and quotation-related queries, including managing the project.

How will the shopping process for furniture/fittings and materials take place?

I will be accompanying all homeowners for the respective shopping processes, including shopping for materials, furniture, and fittings. I will also be able to provide advice via text.

The design process was smooth – Eric found a way to integrate all our ideas into the house, from the Japanese style entryway to the inclusion of a tatami platform in the living room.

The renovation process was equally hassle-free. Although our renovation was interrupted by the Circuit Breaker, we were able to keep to the original amount of time planned for the project once work was allowed to resume. Eric was responsive and helpful with suggestions, giving us his opinion on color palettes or providing advice on where to source for certain items. He also accompanied us to shop for various things such as lighting and bathroom fittings. Being first-time homeowners, this was extremely helpful to us.

Eric also provided us with regular updates on the progress, which was assuring as it meant we didn’t have to fret over the details. Even after completion of the project, Eric still followed up with us whenever we had little requests.

All in all, we are very pleased with the way our house has turned out and would highly recommend Eric to anyone looking for an interior designer.
