Older flat actually brings a lot of history within the surrounding context and it shows a lot of heritage elements too.

Renovating older homes in Singapore is definitely challenging especially some space has odd layouts and restrictions but that is the most interesting part that I would like to incorporate more design and style to blend in with the heritage context.

Nature has always been close to me, a teacher and a mentor that informed my imagination and my design aesthetic since I was little. I constantly draw inspiration from my travels, where I try to learn as much as possible from the different cultures, artisans, and artists I meet on the way. I also get inspiration learning from people who have devoted a whole lifetime in becoming a master of one process, whether it is upholstery or woodwork. These people are critical to making beautiful products and that collaboration is important and inspiring.

Given my years of experience, I have grown a knack for being able to tell what a client is trying to achieve but is struggling to verbalize. From going bare bones to achieving a supremely spartan and functional home to the most discerning luxe seekers that demand nothing but the finest material selection and furniture proposals.

Starting with being able to get the clients to share their ideas and help them visualize by the use of fabric swatches, color palettes and product sample which brings a breath life into the concept before going into establish a basic concept of the clients desired expenditure to try and either marry the cost and reality.”
